Vilnius College. Sonus' project in Lithuania with Unirig solutions at the heart of the technical setup

15/10/2026

Some of the greatest satisfactions come from far away (sometimes quite literally).

Vilnius College (VIKO), one of Lithuania's largest higher education institutions, has unveiled a new multifunctional event venue designed to host conferences, performances, academic events, creative activities, and public gatherings.

The project was carried out by Sonus, a system integrator and Unirig partner, which managed the full integration of stage technologies: professional audio, lighting, stage infrastructure, drapery, and audience seating solutions.

With a capacity of up to 500 people, the hall was conceived as a flexible and technologically advanced space, capable of quickly transforming between traditional seated configurations and open-floor layouts.

Our technologies at the heart of the project

We are proud that Unirig solutions were part of this achievement, contributing to what is today one of the most advanced event venues in Lithuania's higher education sector.

When a project of this scale takes shape, rigging is not a detail: it is the backbone of the entire experience. It is what allows technology to move, light to be positioned, and space to transform.

Structures, motion, safety: every component was selected to ensure long-term reliability and maximum operational flexibility. Because a venue of this level cannot afford compromises - not during setup, and not during the event.

For the Vilnius College project, Unirig supplied Sonus with:

  • 16 Divo One 250kg D8+ 4m/min
  • 8 Divo Two 320kg D8+ 4m/min
  • 4 Power and signal distribution systems (flip flop)
  • 1 Touring 24 Link motor controller

The Divo ONE and Divo TWO electric chain hoists, designed to deliver maximum reliability and safety in professional applications, feature an aluminium body, D8+ classification, double swivel hook, and an innovative chain guide system engineered to improve chain flow and reduce the risk of jamming.

Both models operate at 400V - 50Hz and are equipped with a dual DC brake system, ensuring high levels of safety and dependability. The design complies with EN 17206, the European reference standard for lifting systems used in professional entertainment rigging.

Hoist movement is managed by the DIVO MOVE Touring 24 Link control system - a modular, linkable motor controller available in 4, 8, 16, and 24-channel configurations.

Thanks to the Master/Slave mode, multiple units can be connected together, providing simple, flexible, and safe management of electric hoists.
Touring Link integrates an E-Stop emergency button and 400V CEE 16A power outputs, ensuring full system control at every operational stage.

This project is a concrete example of how professional rigging and lifting technologies, integrated with expertise and experience, can transform a space into a versatile, safe, and long-lasting platform.

We thank Sonus Exsertus for the trust placed in Unirig and for their invaluable collaboration in delivering this important project.
